LeAnna won a poster award at Diabetes Day 2026! Congrats LeAnna!

In lieu of a lab holiday party we decided to have a lab outing in the new year and eventually settled on the Valentine’s Day(-ish) event at Butterfly Pavilion. What better way for a bunch of scientists to celebrate Valentine’s than learning about the mating rituals of invertebrates?!

Happy Halloween! Are skittles scary?

The lab is growing! These past weeks we’ve welcomed a new postdoc, Rahul, and technician, Lauren. We are also delighted to welcome back LeAnna who rejoins the lab after a successful preliminary exam. Our very first lab member Sean will join the CSD program in the fall so he is passing on the lab management torch. The photo series documents our growth this first year.

Lab BBQ (on the rainiest day of the year) to welcome IPHY PhD student LeAnna and bid a fond farewell to Sean, who will be joining the CSD PhD program here in the fall. We’re so glad you’ve joined the lab, LeAnna, and best of luck to you Sean!
